Information only
SunSocket is a free guide. Our calculator, kit tracker, guides and emails are general information, not legal, electrical, financial or installation advice. Calculator results are estimates, not a quote or a guarantee of savings. Before you buy or install anything, check the product's certification, your utility's rules, your lease or HOA rules, and local codes, and ask a licensed electrician if you're unsure.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that information is accurate, complete or up to date, or that any product is safe, legal, certified or fit for a particular purpose.
Limit on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SunSocket and its owner are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss or damage from buying, installing or using any product, arising from your use of the site or our emails. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Products, sellers and links
We don't make, sell, install or service any product. Purchases are between you and the seller, under the seller's terms. Links to other websites are for convenience; we're not responsible for their content. Some links are affiliate links: we earn a commission if you buy through them, as explained in our affiliate disclosure.
Installation help
We don't install kits or quote installation prices. If you ask for installation help, we may connect you with a licensed contractor, who is responsible for their own work and pricing.
Using the site
Please don't misuse the site, for example by trying to break it, overload it, or submit other people's information in our forms. The site's text, design and logo belong to SunSocket; product names belong to their owners.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
